Genealogy is the study of lines of family decent and is used to build up family trees.. Using a selection of case studies, experiments and surveys, this book investigates the current state of the market.

The investigation also examines who the audience of genealogy is and the limitations the current promotional material has for attracting new participants. The book aims to highlight how the genealogy market can be expanded and what can be done to increase its appeal to a wider audience. In response to this project a Family History Starter Pack was designed with the aim of interesting young people in family history.
